Venues for the 2008 ExhibitionJune 2 - 22, 2008Boone Mall, Center Court 1180 Blowing Rock Road, Boone, North Carolina Boone Mall will display the artwork by the twenty-five $50 award winners and up to ten $25 award winning entries from local artists. Boone Mall generously donates the money to fund these awards. The Silent Auction will begin on June 7, 2008. Artists whose works get their highest bids at Boone Mall receive 100% of the purchase price. Boone Mall will host an Awards Reception on June 22, 2008, from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. July 11 - October 4, 2008 Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, Appalachian State University 423 West King Street, Boone, North Carolina The Turchin Center's Catwalk Gallery will display the twenty-five winners and ten local winners along with other selected works. The Opening Reception for all the works on display at the Turchin Center will be on July 11, 2008. The Silent Auction will continue at the Turchin Center. It will conclude on September 20, 2008. Artists who receive their high bids at the Turchin Center receive 75% of the purchase price going to the artist and 25% going to the Turchin Center. November 28 - December 22, 2008 The Jones House Community Center, in the Mazie Jones Gallery 634 West King Street, Boone, North Carolina The Jones House will display selected artwork from the exhibition. All artwork on display will be for sale, with 75% of the purchase price going to the artist and 25% to the Jones House Community Center. |
